Flag Football is a rapidly growing regional and international sport. Hamilton itself is home to several flag football leagues that operate year round. Interest and registration is growing with the cost to participate in house leagues reasonable.
Internationally, the sport is growing. For the first time in 2022, the World Games in Birmingham, AL saw 16 mens and womens teams compete for a World title. The NFL is a strong supporter with its' NFL Flag program running across North America with regional tournaments across the country and annual Championships in Tampa, FL.
The Olympics have even recognized the growth of Flag Football as it will not be an official sport for the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.
American Universites are even starting to offer athletic scholarships to flag football athletes.
Football Canada and the CFL are also strong supporters of flag football with various programs across Canada.
We plan to use our passion, experience, contacts and knowlege to help develop flag football players in Hamilton to eventually compete competively on the international stage.
We plan hold seasonal skills and drills cliinics for boys and girls develop skills from beginners to seasoned players. From there we aim to create rep teams to compete regionally, nationally and at international tournaments
We are also the officially recognized assocation to place flag football teams at the annual international CANUSA games featuring athletes from Hamilton, ON vs. Flint, MI. The games take place every August, allternating between Hamilton and Flint. This years games are in Flint Aug. 9 & 10. where we plan to field a U12 & U14 mixed boys and girls team for the games.
Starting small with big aspirations, we plan to be the leading training Academy for flag football in Canada.
